This safety razor is in very good condition for its age. It is a vintage model called monobloc (butterfly type), manufactured by Gillette in England in the 1950s.
Rocket is the name of a family of Gillette razors that are all metal, with a butterfly head, and generally quite massive. HD stands for ‘Heavy Duty’. Now that’s solid! It’s perfect for beginners to traditional shaving, and of course for experienced shavers.
The razor has a plating in good overall condition, with some signs of oxidation on the head that will not interfere with shaving. Its original case is included, but it has not aged well. It is cracked, stained and burnt.
