This safety razor is in excellent condition for its age. It is a beautiful vintage model, three pieces with a long screw, manufactured in France (by Leresche) for Le Grelot. The razor is marked Le Grelot “Médaille de Vermeil” (sometimes called Demoiselle de Vermeil, but it is indeed Médaille). The handle is silver-plated and the head is nickel-plated. Its design is similar to the “Leresche 51” razor, with only the screw at the bottom of the handle being different.
The razor comes in a stainless steel case (good condition on the outside, wear on the inside, the holder has no fabric and is detached). The box is marked Guyot, Paris (name of a retailer).
The razor is quite worn, especially on the guard plate, the comb is slightly bent, and the plating is a little worn. Please take a close look at all the photos.
It uses standard-sized double-edged safety blades. It will work well for tough beards!
