This safety razor is in good condition for its age. It is a beautiful vintage one-piece razor (also known as a butterfly razor or TTO), made by Gillette in 1965 (date code K3). With its slim handle, it is nicknamed “Slim”.
Adjustable means adjustable, and it has an adjustment ring from 1 (gentle) to 9 (aggressive), giving you nine shaving experiences in 1! Ideal for beginners to traditional shaving, but also ideal for experienced shavers.
The razor is nickel-plated and in good condition. The two rings turn and work perfectly, and the doors open without a hitch.
Case: a few scratches, the box of blades is new and original, the cream has aged badly (keep it only for decoration, do not use it).
This set was a display model. Technically, the razor has never been used (as can be seen from its excellent mechanical condition and its box of 2 blades still sealed) and can be considered new-old-stock. However, as it was a display model, it was left open for a long time, so the plating is a little pitted, and the case lid has also suffered a little. It comes from a shop stock that I’ve salvaged, with lots of Gillette blade displays, exhibition razors, etc…
