Magnificent porcelain/biscuit moustache cup. It features a hunting design in relief, in biscuit left white, surrounded by green paint. It’s not really a hunting scene, but rather a scene showing a deity making music in front of deer.
A ceramic piece inside the cup protects the moustache from any beverage!
These biscuit mugs are very rare. The green is still magnificent. A collector’s design from the late 19th century.
N.B.: a chip has been glued back on the front edge (see photos).
Antique, second-hand item, may have minor defects, stains or cracks. Not dishwasher or microwave safe. This mug is best considered for decoration/collection rather than everyday use.
