This perpetual pad replaces blotting paper indefinitely! At least, that’s what the advertising claimed at the time. It’s made of a synthetic stone covered by a red plastic-coated metal sheet with the Gibbs logo. I don’t know exactly how old it is. It was manufactured at the time by Buvard-Bloc “Aris”, located at 29 rue Faidherbe in Paris 11ème.
This object is vintage, second-hand.
Today, it can be used as a paperweight and will take a good place in any self-respecting Gibbs collection.
