This beautiful vintage safety razor was manufactured in Germany. It is an Apollo razor (usually marketed under the Ben Hur brand in France, as Apollo was already established there), so this is clearly a razor designed for the German market. It is made entirely of chrome-plated metal and is a two-piece razor (the guard plate is attached to the handle). It features a slant head and a guard bar with teeth.
This is a classic slant model, marked DRGM. It has a hexagonal handle with a striped pattern and a rounded end.
It measures 8.4 cm and weighs 70 grams. The plating is a bit flaky behind a guard bar, but it’s nothing serious. This razor uses standard blades.
Its original Bakelite case is magnificent, with the Apollo logo embossed on the top.
