NOS Leresche 700 safety razor – Purple

Antique Leresche razor, made in France, with short screw and open comb. Together with its low cardboard box, it forms a set called #700. This razor is brand new and unused! It even has traces of polishing paste between the teeth of the comb.

Although it’s not sealed, I know it’s new and unused because I found it in an old shop stock, where all the items were new.

Period: 1940s. Interestingly, there is a piece of paper stuck to the underside of the box which states that a 1941 law prohibited factories from using brass in the manufacture of safety razors.
