This magnificent shaving brush was manufactured by Gibbs in the 1950s. The plexiglas handle shows a very unique design. The original nylon knot is looking good, the overall is quite clean for its age. Some traces and marks here and there on the handle.
Please look closely at all the pictures. This is Gibbs Velours no. 203, which was in the brand’s catalogue between 1950 and 1957.
The handle design has been adopted by Rex Supply for their stainless steel shaving brush. Which makes sense, given that they’ve used the design of the Gibbs adjustable razor for their Ambassador.
