Old Gillette Single Ring safety razor – Standard Set Combination 00

A vintage Gillette razor, a model nicknamed the ‘Single Ring’ dating from 1917 (code D216415), in a ‘Combination Set 00’ box. The razor is in good overall condition; the handle has no cracks (rare!), but the head has a bent corner tooth (common). The gold plating is slightly tarnished, but apart from that it is in good user grade condition.

This razor is still in perfect working order and will give a very close shave as it is, but a more thorough clean would do it good.

The case is still in good condition; the lettering is still legible, although slightly worn, with a few tears in the lining. The exterior has a nice weathered finish; the flap closes securely, and the sides are slightly sagging. The original blade holders are included, as are an empty soap holder and an empty shaving brush holder, both original.
