This safety razor is in very good condition. It is a nice vintage model, three pieces with long screw (also called “à pompe”), made in France by Leresche. The plating is silver on the handle, nickel for the head.
The razor weighs 77 g for 8 cm.
The handle has no cracks (quite rare feat !), the whole is in very good condition. This razor alone is called a #501 mount, when presented in a bakelite case like this one it is called #55 (it is the same razor as in a #51 set, more popular). The reddish brown bakelite case is absolutely unique, one part pivots on an axis to reveal the interior. The Leresche logo is molded in relief on the top. The nickel plated metal blade holders are present, also in good condition.
